Dear Students at ELS,
Let me introduce myself. I am the parent of an albino child. We are new in the area, and we recently put our daughter in the local school system. Sadly, every day the other children are ridiculing and taunting her unrelentingly. They even pluck her hair and physically abuse her. I have tried to talk to the teachers, but it seems like they will not intervene. What should I do???? I need your help!
Sincerely,
A desperate parent

Activity. Writing a letter.
Dear parent,
First of all, let me apologize for the terrible ordeal
your child is going through. No child
deserves to be bullied in such a way.
You asked for my advice, and here are steps I have for dealing with
this.
First, I think you should contact the children’s parents. Maybe, if you tell them that their child is behaving
badly, it will influence them to stop this behavior.
If you talk to the parents, it will help a lot.
You should go to the school and talk with the
principal. If you do that, the
administration will understand the situation better.
I recommend you speak to the parents of the
bullies. Perhaps they don’t know that
their children are bullying another child.
If you talk to them, they will be aware of the situation, and perhaps
they will stop it.
If you talk to the parents, it would help a lot.
Conditionals.
If I were from Japan, I would understand the Japanese
language.
If I were one foot taller, I could play basketball a
lot better.
If I have a million dollars someday, I will buy a yacht.
If I had a million dollars right now, I would buy a
yacht.
