Inside Out 2 is about Riley, who has now turned 13 years old. Her original emotions of joy, anger, fear, disgust, and sadness have control of her life.
She still loves hockey and is planning to go to a three-day hockey camp with her friends Bree and Grace. But, she is now entering adolescence and is experiencing new emotions, ranging from anxiety and envy to embarrassment.
While heading to the camp, she learns that her two friends will not be attending high school with her. Meanwhile, she wants to be accepted by the older high school girls, especially Val Ortiz, the captain of the hockey team and Riley's role model.
Anxiety decides to remove her original five emotions so that she can take control of Riley's decisions. Riley, who is desperate to fit in, decides to abandon Bree and Grace in order for the older girls to like her more. But, Joy wants to lead the others to help Riley return to the person she was before the big changes.
Questions:
1. As you have gotten older have you experienced more anxiety in your life?
2. Did you feel a big difference from being a young child to becoming an adolescent?
3. Did you ever try and be popular with a group of other people? If so, did you abandon friends of yours when you tried this?
