Conversation and Vocabulary, Beginner's

 By Nate Feldman

Yesterday, there was very icy weather, so we didn't come to school until 10:30.  We only had SSP class in the morning, so we didn't have this class.  I slept an hour later.  I woke up, and I made oatmeal for breakfast and I drank coffee.  I watched TV and prepared for the day.  Then, I drove to my classes.  The classes were very interesting.

After work, I went to the supermarket and bought milk.  Then, I went to the park.  After that, I relaxed.  Later, I went to the gym and ran on the treadmill and lifted weights on some machines.  Then, for dinner, I had soup and vegetables.  It was a nice day.

Questions:

1. Do you like the icy weather?

2. Did you go to the supermarket yesterday?  If so, what did you buy?  If not, when did you go to the supermarket the last time?

3. What did you have for dinner last night?

4. How much did you sleep last night?

Ex. I slept for 8 hours.

5. How long will you study at ELS?  (use until in the answer)

Ex. I will study at ELS until the summer.

6. You didn't have class yesterday.  What else didn't you do?

Ex. I didn't swim yesterday because it was so cold.

The class today is until 12:20.

I will study at ELS until June.

Yesterday, we didn’t have class until 10:30.
