Goal: Expand vocabulary and discuss Plato's ideas on philosophy/Using intensifiers for emphatic arguments
Warm-up discussion: How do you feel about Plato's philosophies? Do you feel that each person should be placed in a proper role in society? Do you feel we should be taught to love society for service?
New Vocabulary:
*elite: a group of people who are a part of the high-class of society
*idealize: to admire or look up to someone
*amass: to gather large amounts of something
*upheaval: a situation where there is chaos and disorder
*oligarch: a member of a small group of people with enormous power in a country
*pursuit: going after something
*virtue: good behavior or qualities in someone
*craft: to make or create something
*inculcate: brainwash or instill ideas in someone's head
*adherence: following something (i.e. religion, values, ideas)
*platitude: a statement said so many times it lacks value
*aphorism: a wise saying

*Who or what do you idealize?
*What do you have adherence to?
*What are you in pursuit of?
*Did your teachers try to inculcate you with any information?
