Voice Practice
Use the
verbs in parentheses in the passive voice (either present or past tense).
Ex. When I
came home yesterday, the dinner (already cook) was already cooked for me, so I ate it.

The economy is in a slump = it’s a bad economy.
Get worse = more bad than now
Recover = return to a good condition
Profits = make more money than you spend
Profits are down = the business is making less money
than before
A sharp fall = a sudden and fast drop in something
A steady decline = getting worse slowly but
consistently
A bright spot = positive news when most things are
negative
