Film and Discussion, Words on Bathroom Walls

Yesterday, we saw that the two main characters, Adam and Maya, are clearly hiding things from the other person.  There are things they are ashamed, or they are nervous for the other person to discover about them.  In the case of Adam, he is hiding his mental illness.  And as we discovered at the end, Maya is hiding her poverty.

1.       Are there times where you hide important information about yourself, even from friends, because you are afraid of the reaction?  Is that a good thing, or is it just a necessary thing?

2.       Is it good to be so open with people about your personal life, or is this “easier said than done?”

You can be as open as you want with people, but there may be consequences to that.
