I have visited your country before = at some point I visited your country (from the beginning of my life until now)

 

I have worked at ELS for 12 year = I started working 12 years ago; I’m still here

 

I have worked with you since January. 

 

I really want to visit Portugal.  I haven’t been there yet. 

 

I love Washington, DC.  I have gone there many times.  I went there last weekend. 

 

I have been to NYC.  I have gone to NYC. 

 

I have been to NYC.  I lived there for two years. 

 

I have taught three and a half classes today. 

 

I taught four classes today (after class, at night)

 

Mr. Nate has taught me many classes since I came to ELS. 

 

The internet has helped me find work.    It has also helped me meet people using different social sites.  Finally, the internet has taught me a lot about places I didn’t know about it before.
