MLS Humanities, P.8-9, 10

*We will read the passage, Exercise 3, A. about the philosophies of Hannah Arendt.

Discuss the following questions:

1. What do you think love of the world means?

2. Do you think political issues should be discussed in classrooms?   Do you believe children can handle discussing these issues?

*P.10, Creating Cohesion in Presentations and Discussions

Today, I'll be talking about a school I am creating.  It will be a school where students take turns running the classes and acting as teachers.  Of course, there will be actual professional teachers to guide them.  What that means is the students won't be teachers all of the time, but some of the time.  I am doing this to build confidence in students and give them valuable work experience and leadership skills.  Now, let's turn to how a typical school day will look here....

*Practice using the vocabulary from P.10 about something of importance to you.  Make sure you use words from the box and be prepared to tell it to the class.
