The Sweet Tooth: A Short Play

Teacher: Hello Mrs. Smith, I need to talk to you.  It’s very important.

Mrs. Smith: Yes, what is it you need to say?

Teacher: Well, it’s about your son.  He is so addicted to sugar!

Mrs. Smith: Is that true?

Son: Yes, of course it is.  I can’t get enough sugary things in my life!!!!!

Teacher: See what I mean?

Mrs. Smith: Well, I try to get my son to eat vegetables and nutritious things, but he refuses to eat them.

Son : Yeah!  They are disgusting!!!!

Teacher: But, you need to cut down on the sweet things, because it will cause you health problems!

Father (talking to Mrs. Smith): Well, I think my wife needs to do a better job cooking healthy food.  Her vegetables lack taste!

Mrs. Smith: I am outraged!  I have to cook because you are too lazy!  If you think you can do better, why don’t you cook?!!!!!!!

Father: But, I need to make money, so I don’t have time for that.  So, please learn to cook vegetables better!

Mrs. Smith: I hate you.

Teacher: OK, OK!  Stop!  Your son has a problem, and now you guys blame each other.  You must work together!

Son: I love sugar!  I want cookies!  I want cake!  Give me now!!!!
