The Candy Tree (A Short Play)
Mark: Hey Vince. What are you up to?
Vince: I am trying to grow a candy tree.
Mark (laughing to himself): Cute. How are you doing that?
Vince: Well, I am putting the candy wrappers in the ground. I think if I water the soil and give it a lot of sunlight, then a big candy tree will grow.
Mark: I see. And what candy trees will you grow?
Vince: A variety of them. Trees with gummy bears, three musketeers, Hershey's Kisses, all of them!
Mark: I suggest you go to the marketplace and get candy seeds for that.
Vince: There are no candy seeds!
Mark: Right, and I am afraid to tell you, there are no candy trees!
