Argue = disagree with someone, usually in an aggressive way

I argue with Nate about Philly.

I argued with the teacher about the test.

I chat with my students about places in Philly.

I argued with Omer in class.  I got into an argument with Omer in class.

People get into arguments about politics. 

I am shy, so it is difficult for me to strike up a conversation. 

We’ll carry on this conversation later.

I am busy, but I’ll stop by for a chat with you later. 

Today, I am giving a talk about how to make your life better.
