SSP Hong Kong, Possessions

 Vocabulary:

1.      I don’t have many friends.  I go to the restaurants by myself.  I am a loner. 

2.      When I travel to other countries, it is hard because I don’t fit in with the culture.

3.      Nate is in charge of the class. 

4.      Mr. Nate organized a trip for us to take. 

5.      To be a teacher, you must have the guts to stand in front of people. 

 

Discussion:

1.      Who is in charge of your life?

2.      Where do you fit in? Where do you not fit in?

3.      What do you have the guts to do?  What don’t you have the guts to do?

4.      Did you organize an event before?

 


Dialogue with possessions 

Ahmed: Oh no! 

Nate: What’s wrong?

Ahmed: My book.  I lost my book.  Where’s my book?

Nate: Is it in your backpack?

Ahmed: No, it’s not.  I can’t find it anywhere! 

Pedro: Excuse me.  Is this your book?

Ahmed: Yes it is!  Thank you so much!

Pedro: No problem!

I want sugar with my coffee.
