Class Objective: Discuss your weekend in groups, talk about long-term goals you have
My weekend
This weekend was a lot of fun. On Friday evening, I went to Phoenixville, a town about an hour away from downtown Philadelphia. There, I saw the 1979 movie Alien with a horror movie group I am a member of. The movie was playing at the Colonial Theater, a classic cinema.
On Saturday morning, I went to Linwood Park in Ardmore, also a suburb of Philadelphia, but much closer than Phoenixville. I am a member of a book club, and we gathered at the park to discuss a book we read, The Last Animal, a story about a woman who recreates a wooly mammoth. Later in the day, I went running on the Struble Trail in Downingtown, another small town a bit away from the city.
On Sunday, I went hiking at French Creek State Park. This is a place with a lake, woods, and places for camping. The weather was spectacular, and I saw some great scenery.
